Nobuko makes one off commission pieces for clients. The design is
often decided through a number of meetings either face to face or
via mail. A commissioning customer may have a list of personal
influences and interests that he or she would wish to use as input to
the design. The brief may be very open such as leaving Nobuko with
a couple of words or pictures to develop a design from. Other
customers have needed a very specific design realised. Sometimes
a replica piece or just a personal design they don’t have the
expertise to make themselves.
Any reason behind commissioning jewellery is a personal one and is
seen as a treat to be part of. Nobuko hopes to compliment a
gesture or need that you may have. It is your piece after all.
